Akira Taylor, LCSW, LICSW
About me
I firmly believe that connecting with clients on a deep level and truly understanding their perspective is the cornerstone of effective support. My passion lies in illuminating the path for others along their personal journey, empowering them to heal and thrive. My professional background encompasses a diverse range of settings, including addiction treatment centers, in-patient psychiatric care, medical social work, crisis intervention, hospice care, and business, personal, and life coaching.
Recognizing the pervasive role of trauma in many of these challenges, I have completed specialized training. This includes a comprehensive year-long course in Compassionate Inquiry led by Dr. Gabor Maté and an Internal Family Systems Course by Dr. Richard Schwartz. I am also a Certified Associate Coach in the International Coaching Federation.
My approach is centered around assisting clients in shedding their old narratives and reframing what may initially appear as hardships into newfound sources of strength. This reflects my commitment to a client-centric and holistic approach to fostering personal growth and healing.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Akira Taylor. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I've been working on myself for over 30 years and some of Akira's techniques are somewhat new to me (lingo more than processes). I think this was our 5th session and while we're still getting use to each other, I'm getting plenty out of our work and making progress. She is my 3rd Betterhelp therapist and the best fit so far. I'm happy about our relationship.

Akira has been so fantastic! Direct and to the point, she went straight to the heart of my issue(s) and led me to ways of introspectively feeling better. Would recommend. Two thumbs way up.
