Jamie Daughdrill, LPC
About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with 5 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with family conflicts, trauma and abuse, eating disorders, & parenting issues.
During school I enjoyed working and volunteering with at risk communities in the Waco and Dallas area, such as the Methodist Children's Home in Waco, and Prestonwood Pregnancy Center in Richardson. As a counselor I have worked with children, teens, young adults and women dealing with eating disorders, abuse recovery, school related issues and relationship issues.
Following my time as a stay-at-home-mom, I worked as a children's minister, a preschool teacher, an administrative assistant at a middle school and opened my own bakery. I also have done some volunteer work with a counseling group offering large and small group weekend intensive counseling experiences. My kids and I stay busy with their activities, and volunteering at their schools and with our church.
I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

JAMIE brings compassion and understanding to her approach. She understands a biblical view point and I so appreciate her, I feel seen and heard. She has been an answer to prayer.

Jamie is great, she asks simple questions that help you think things through creating a thought path of your own and helps you understand and more easily solve your challenges.
A small appreciated added touch is that she sends journalling questions in between sessions to help you be more mindful.

I've tried therapy in the past but did not have great luck. I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and realized this was likely the root of my problems, which I hadn't realized thus hadn't been able to properly address. I decided to give therapy another go as I felt I could benefit now that I understood the root of my problems, though I was nervous based on my unproductive experiences in the past. I sought a therapist that had specific experience with ADHD and am SO happy I found Jamie. She made me feel so seen, comfortable, and understood from the very first session. I look forward to our session each week and feel confident that she will continue to be an integral source of help and support me as I strive to change my life, long-term, for the better!

Jamie has been a Godsend for our family. She is a great listener, kind, and tries to guide one to come to realizations on one’s own rather than just giving the answer to the problem.

Jamies great, she makes me feel deeply heard and validated while challenging my approach and understanding of my own emotions. I know without a doubt she cares for me as an individual and she shows that in the way she communicates.
