Simon Davies, BACP
About me
I am a UK based counselling practitioner, with 3 years of professional experience, and a Masters Degree in Counselling. My experience includes working with clients who are adjusting to significant life events, including bereavement and trauma, with clients struggling with issues concerning their self esteem and confidence, or who wish to explore how past experiences have impacted upon themselves. I believe that you are the expert on your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you.
I am personable and warm, and I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I have worked online and in person, for non-profits and privately, in a variety of settings including prisons and I really enjoy my work.
My therapy style is client-led integrative, which means I draw on different approaches to help understand the uniqueness of individual situation. Most importantly, I will gauge my approach to fit with what feels right for you, drawing on person-centred, psycho-dynamic, Trauma-informed and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy as is appropriate.
Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage, but demonstrates that you value yourself and I am looking forward to working with you.
