About me

I am a licensed Clinical professional Counselor in Nevada with over 9 years of experience working as a Therapist, crisis response and group therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD, and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. I have taken several trainings in trauma of all ages. My primary focus is children, I have worked with kids in the system, and worked with kids going in the system. My undergrad is in criminal justice which has helped me understand and educate parents that are dealing with child protective services to ensure positive interactions. I work with ages 3 up to 80 +. I have also worked with clients in the various communities such as Kink community and LGBTQ community, and the homeless.

My therapy style is warm and interactive, and empathetic. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I also remain transparent and encourage this in my clients when working on treatment. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive therapy. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage and the want to make a change in your life to seek a more fulfilling and happier life, and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Reviews

Michelle is wonderful to work with. She’s understanding, completely non judgmental, empathetic and very supportive. She reads cues very well and knows when to push and when to step back. I appreciate her direct yet compassionate approach and ability to help me recognize that the therapy journey is not linear.

Michelle is literally amazing in every way. Her voice itself makes me feel safe in her presence. She’s such an amazing listener and when it’s time to give advise, she makes you feel like you have every ounce of support, love, safety, and freedom to do whatever possible. I’m so thankful for the safe space she and I have created. She’s a miracle worker for sure.
